We want to connect you with your future and help you find your place in the workforce and in the community.
NCWorks NextGen Youth program provides a supportive environment where you will find guidance and access to lots of information. A Counselor will help you identify your current skills and then provide programs to improve those skills – whether that means completing high school, earning a high school equivalency diploma or perhaps finding some on-the-job training opportunities or an internship with an employer. We’ll help you research careers and find job opportunities. We also provide assistance with resume preparation, interview skills, and help you meet with potential employers.
The NCWorks NextGen Youth program is part of Gaston County’s Workforce Innovation and Opportunity (WIOA) Program for youth. It is administered by the Gaston County Workforce Development Board.
